The contest is hosted by the Vietnam Association for the Promotion of Cinematography and the American Cinema Association, in coordination with the US Embassy, BHD, K+, TikTok Vietnam, to spread love for Vietnam, and at the same time introduce and promote Vietnam to international friends as a tourist destination and an ideal location for filming major films.
Announcing the results of the final round of the Contest
On the Opening Night of the First Danang Asian Film Festival (DANAFF I) taking place on the evening of May 9, 2023, Mr. Edward Neubronner - Senior Vice President of the American Cinema Association International - Asia Pacific region and Ms. Nguyen Phuong Hoa, Director of the Department of International Cooperation, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and Vice President of the Vietnam Association for Cinema Promotion and Development launched the online clip contest "I love Vietnam".
The contest has received enthusiastic responses from many filmmakers, young people who love cinema and travel across the country. At the end of the deadline for receiving entries, the Organizing Committee has received 289 valid entries through the following sources: website https://ilovevietnamfilmcomp.us, email officevfda@gmail.com and from the Tiktok platform. The entries have described the beauty of 60/63 provinces and cities across Vietnam.
The Organizing Committee of the competition has established a Jury consisting of: Ms. Ly Phuong Dung - Screenwriter, Deputy Director of the Department of Cinema - President; Mr. Stephen P. Jenner - Vice President of Communications for the Asia- Pacific region, Motion Picture Association of America (MPA); Mr. Nguyen Trinh Hoan - Director of Photography, Director of HK Film Company; Ms. Tran Thi Bich Ngoc - Film Producer; Mr. Dinh Tuan Vu - Film Director.
Competition Jury
The selection criteria are clips that explore new destinations, effectively capture the beauty of landscapes in Vietnam, prioritizing undiscovered landscapes, specifically: New locations/settings, suitable for filming major films, not familiar tourist destinations; Locations/settings have unique elements, creating emotions for viewers.
The judges have scored and selected the 10 best clips for the final round including: Cinematic Adventure Kong, Steps of the Central Highlands, An Giang - Way back home, Discovering Tiger Cave, Quang Tri Maple Forest, LOST IN VIETNAM, Forever Vietnam, Pieces of Vietnam, Why you should visit Vietnam, Camping on La An Pine Hill.
Top 10 clips entered the Final Round of the Contest
The contest prizes include: 01 First Prize: Mavic 3 Fly More Combo Drone; 01 Second Prize: MobileMaster kit; 03 Third Prizes: Pocketfilm kit.

The award ceremony will be held at the 2nd Da Nang Asian Film Festival (DANAFF II) taking place from July 2 to 6, 2024 in Da Nang City./.
