23 works won the 7th Quang Tri Provincial Press Award

The 7th Quang Tri Provincial Press Award - 2023 has 104 works from members and collaborators participating.

After a period of launching, the contest organizing committee received 103 qualified entries. The Preliminary Council selected 40 entries for the final round to be judged and evaluated by the Quang Tri Provincial Press Awards Final Council.

Of which, 13 are printed newspapers; 12 are electronic newspapers; 12 are visual newspapers and 4 are spoken newspapers.

The works focus on reflecting the following areas: socio-economic development; Party building; major holidays and historical events of the homeland and country; prominent and pressing issues in social life.

In general, this year the number of participating works is greater and of higher quality, with more diverse topics, elaborate investment, and maximum use of multimedia journalism than last year.

The author invests in building a serious work, many articles are long but still ensure seamless connection, attracting readers' attention.

Limit writings on common topics such as good people and good deeds, increase reporting, investigation, and special works. The affiliated journalist associations participate in all types of journalism.

In particular, central reporters stationed in the area actively participated with many quality works.

The members of the final jury worked seriously and objectively, giving realistic assessments. The scores of the members did not differ much; focusing on works that were discovery-oriented, had public opinion-orienting properties, and had a widespread influence in social life to award prizes.

At the meeting, members of the Quang Tri Provincial Press Award Final Jury discussed, agreed to evaluate and classify 23 works that won the 7th Quang Tri Provincial Press Award - 2023, and submitted them to the Provincial People's Committee for decision on awarding prizes, including: 8 A prizes, 8 B prizes and 7 C prizes.

The meeting also discussed and agreed on plans and prepared conditions for organizing meetings with journalists in combination with summarizing the 7th Quang Tri Provincial Press Awards - 2023 on the occasion of the 99th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day June 21 (1925-2024).
