The Prime Minister approved the election results and dismissed the Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has just signed decisions approving the election results and dismissal of the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province for the 2021-2026 term.

Specifically, in Decision No. 2129 dated September 23, the Prime Minister approved the election results for the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province for the 2021-2026 term for Mr. Bui Van Khang, Deputy Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

Mr. Bui Van Khang was born on May 16, 1971, in An Binh commune, Kien Xuong district, Thai Binh province (now Binh Nguyen commune, Hung Yen province). He has a bachelor's degree in law, a master's degree in public administration and a high level of political theory.

Mr. Bui Van Khang has held the following positions: Director of Quang Ninh Provincial Customs Department (now Region VIII Customs Branch); Vice Chairman of Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee. In January 2024, he was appointed by the Prime Minister as Deputy Minister of Finance.

On September 19, he was mobilized and appointed to join the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

At the same time, in Decision No. 2122 dated September 23, the Prime Minister approved the results of the dismissal of Mr. Pham Duc An from the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province for the 2021-2026 term to take on a new assignment.

Previously, on September 22, Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee held a conference to implement the Secretariat's decision on personnel work.

At the conference, on behalf of the Secretariat, Mr. Nguyen Quang Duong, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Organization Committee, presented the decision of the Secretariat on the transfer and appointment of Mr. Bui Van Khang, member of the Party Standing Committee, Deputy Minister of Finance, to join the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, holding the position of Deputy Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee, term 2020-2025.

Mr. Bui Van Khang took over the position of Mr. Pham Duc An. Previously, on September 8, the People's Council of Da Nang City held a special meeting to approve personnel work with the majority of votes in favor, Mr. Pham Duc An officially held the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City for the 2021-2026 term.
