The Commander of Pu Nhi Border Guard Station (Muong Lat) visited, encouraged, and supported rice and daily necessities for the family of Mr. Thao Van Va, in Pa Hoc village, whose house burned down.
Pu Nhi Border Guard Station is assigned to manage and protect a nearly 22km long border section, with 8 national border markers in the area of 2 communes Pu Nhi, Nhi Son and inland commune Muong Ly. Since the implementation of Directive No. 681 up to now, the Party members assigned to be in charge of households have always been responsible and devoted to the people, thereby creating consensus from the Party Committee, local authorities as well as the people in the area where the unit is located. With the motto "3 sticking, 4 together" (3 sticking: sticking to the unit, sticking to the area, sticking to policies and guidelines; 4 together: eating, living, working and speaking the same language) with ethnic minorities, actively supporting people in economic development and new rural construction; the unit regularly coordinates with the Party Committee, local authorities, and functional forces to always stick to the people and be close to the people.
Following Directive No. 681-CT/DU, the unit assigned 22 cadres and party members to be in charge of 132 poor households in the three communes of Pu Nhi, Nhi Son and Muong Ly. The cadres and party members in charge of the area have learned and grasped the thoughts and aspirations of the people. At the same time, they advised local Party committees and authorities on solutions to care for and support the people in developing production, increasing income, escaping poverty sustainably and building a new cultural life.
We followed Captain Do Phuong Ngoc, Reconnaissance Team Leader, Pu Nhi Border Guard Station to Com village, Pu Nhi commune - the area where he was assigned to participate in Party cell activities and take charge of and help households. While walking, Mr. Ngoc talked about the motto "3 stick together, 4 together" with the people in the past time. Com village has 185 households with more than 900 people, mainly Mong ethnic people. People's lives in the area still face many difficulties, the poverty rate is still high, there are many bad customs so the economy is slow to develop. In 2022, Mr. Ngoc was assigned by the unit to take charge of 3 particularly difficult households in Com village. Since then, in addition to the time performing tasks at the unit, he always takes the time to go to the area to grasp the thoughts and aspirations of the households. Thanks to his closeness to the people, he has better understood their way of thinking and lifestyle to advise the local government and command unit on propaganda measures, mobilizing the villagers to boldly change the structure of crops and livestock to improve production efficiency.
Through practical actions, the cadres and party members of Pu Nhi Border Guard Station, who are in charge of households in the border area, have changed people's awareness of production development, building cultural life and actively participating in the movement "All people participate in protecting territorial sovereignty and national border security in the new situation". Thereby, gradually affirming the role, position and close relationship between the border guards and the people in the border area. At the same time, it is the foundation for building an increasingly solid people's border defense posture in the remote border areas of the province.
