According to information from the Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Dong Nai province, Tran Trong Toan, up to now, the Long Thanh Airport Project is still short of about 760 thousand m³ of various types of stone. Of which, nearly 460 thousand m³ has not been identified as a source of supply; the rest has been identified but the mine cannot be exploited yet.
In 2025, the project will need about 4.9 million m³ of various types of stone. To date, contractors have signed contracts to supply 3.7 million m³, meeting about 75% of the demand, of which the volume transported to the project has only reached 60%. The reason for the shortage is that some businesses have not completed legal procedures for mining or cannot produce stone that meets quality and type requirements.

To deal with this situation, the Department of Agriculture and Environment will focus on three measures.
One is to transfer all of about 195 thousand cubic meters of rock that has not yet been contacted by a contractor from the mines of Bien Hoa Construction and Construction Materials Production Joint Stock Company to the Long Thanh Airport Project.
Second, after the Government issues a resolution applying a special mechanism in implementing the Law on Geology and Minerals 2024, Bien Hoa Construction and Construction Materials Production Joint Stock Company will increase the capacity of Tan Cang 1 mine to add about 300 thousand m³ in 2025. At the same time, Truong Truong Phat JP Import-Export Service Trading Construction Investment Joint Stock Company will also apply this mechanism at Thien Tan 9 mine to exploit an additional 250 thousand m³ of rock.
Third is to mobilize support from Binh Thach Cooperative to have about 69 thousand m³ of additional stone from Thanh Phu 3 mine for the project.
