4 Vietnamese players entered the final round of the 10-ball World Championship: Hoang Sao and who?

After the competition day of September 19, 16 players who passed the warm-up round of the 2025 Men's 10-Ball World Billiards Championship were determined.

Vietnamese player "comeback" in a spectacular way

In the winning bracket of the warm-up round, Nguyen Van Huynh defeated Ho So Phat, thereby directly winning a ticket to the final round. Meanwhile, in the losing bracket, another Vietnamese player also won a ticket to the final round spectacularly, Nguyen Bao Chau. He defeated his compatriot Nguyen Dang Tuyen with a score of 2-0 (4-2, 4-2) to win a ticket to the next round. Thus, Vietnam will have 4 representatives participating in the final round of the 2025 Men's 10-Cup World Championship, including Duong Quoc Hoang (Hoang Sao), Pham Phuong Nam, Nguyen Van Huynh and Nguyen Bao Chau.

International players highly rated in the warm-up round such as AJ Manas (Philippines) or Neuhausen (Germany) still maintained stable performance and did not encounter many difficulties to win tickets to the final round, competing with the world's top athletes.

Thus, the 16 players who will participate in the final round are AJ Manas, Gamas Edwin, Jeffrey Prieto, Jonas Magpantay, Lin Ta Li, Liu Ri Teng, Mark Estiola, Michael Feliciano, Moritz Neuhausen, Nguyen Bao Chau, Nguyen Van Huynh, Raymund Faraon, Sun Yi Hsuan, Wang Ming, Yukio Akagariyama, Zhu Xihe.

Also on September 19, the final matches of the Box Billiards Mixed Doubles Open 2025 (10 ball, mixed doubles) concluded. After a tense final match, the championship belonged to the pair Joshua Filler and Pia Filler. They defeated their opponents Ko Ping Chung and Chou Chieh-yu with a final score of 2-0.

The two champions received a prize of 40,000 USD. This was a worthy reward for the German pair. They took advantage of every opportunity they had, coordinated well and had the ability to finish decisively, winning by a relatively large margin (4-2, 4-1).
