67 families sponsor nearly 100 Lao and Cambodian students studying in Vietnam

(HNMO) - On May 27, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and relevant parties organized a ceremony to hand over Lao and Cambodian students to their host families in Vietnam.

This is the content of the program "Vietnamese families with Lao and Cambodian students studying in Ho Chi Minh City" in 2023.

The program takes place from May 2023 to December 2023, with the participation of 67 Vietnamese families and 88 Lao students, 14 Cambodian students, an increase of more than 50% compared to 2022 (in 2022, 33 Vietnamese families and 42 Lao students participated).

It is known that the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city, member organizations and the Vietnam Fatherland Front system of Thu Duc city, districts and counties will organize many accompanying activities in 2023, such as: Vietnam - Laos - Cambodia Family Festival, journey to the source, journey to red addresses in Ho Chi Minh City, cultural exchange activities, sightseeing, experiences...

Representing the family sponsoring the students, Ms. Pham Thi Bich Ly shared that in 2022, her family participated in the program, and the whole family felt the closeness and closeness of being the mother of an “international” child; not only supporting the children but also having wonderful experiences for the family. With a sense of spirit, responsibility and affection for the children, this year she continues to participate in the program and hopes to accompany them until they complete their studies.
