Once a poor household, now Ms. Vang Lo May's family in Phu Lao Chai village has a stable income from raising indigenous black pigs. In 2021, she was able to borrow 200 million VND from the production development support fund of Bat Xat district (old) to develop livestock farming. From that capital, she invested in building two solid barns, buying breeding pigs and planting corn and bananas as feed for the pigs. Ms. May shared: With technical guidance from the commune veterinary officer, I proactively vaccinated fully and kept the barn clean. Thanks to that, the pigs are healthy, reproduce well, and sell nearly 100 pigs each year, deducting expenses, making a profit of more than 80 million VND.

Not only developing livestock, many households in A Mu Sung are converting infertile land to grow trees with high economic efficiency.
