IMO is a competition organized annually by the International AIMO Executive Committee - Asian Mathematical Olympiad Association - since 2012. AIMO is one of the most prestigious and largest international mathematics competitions in English in the region. With more than 20 countries and territories participating such as China, Singapore, Korea, Malaysia, Iran, India...

The special feature of AIMO is that the exam is entirely in English and divided into three parts with increasing difficulty, requiring candidates not only to master mathematical knowledge but also to know how to analyze, debate, and explain problems using logical thinking and academic language.

Vietnam joined AIMO in 2019 and quickly asserted its position with hundreds of medals. According to statistics, Vietnamese students have won more than 200 international medals in AIMO.
