Launching AIMO 2025-2026: Affirming Vietnamese intelligence on the international map

TPO - AIMO - one of the most prestigious English-language Math competitions in the region, with the participation of more than 20 countries and territories. Vietnam officially joined AIMO in 2019. In just 6 years, Vietnamese students have won more than 220 international medals, affirming their increasingly solid position on the Asian intellectual map. On the afternoon of September 26, 2025, Tien Phong Newspaper in collaboration with Hanoi University of Science and Technology and Tien Phong Joint Stock Company held a press conference to launch the Asian Mathematical Arena - AIMO for the 2025-2026 school year.

AIMO (Asia International Mathematical Olympiad) was founded by the Asian Mathematical Olympiad Committee in 2012 and is one of the most prestigious English-language Math competitions in the region, with the participation of more than 20 countries and territories.

Every year, over 150,000 students compete in this arena, thereby conquering thinking challenges, training their abilities and opening the door to integration. Vietnam officially joined AIMO in 2019.

In just 6 years, Vietnamese students have won more than 220 international medals, affirming their increasingly solid position on the Asian intellectual map.

Following the success of the AIMO 2025 International Final in Tokyo, Japan - where the Vietnamese team won 01 Championship, 10 Gold Medals, 07 Silver Medals and 04 Bronze Medals, the Organizing Committee officially launched the Asian Mathematics Arena - AIMO for the 2025-2026 school year.

This is an international academic activity, aiming to nurture passion for science , arouse the desire to conquer knowledge, and at the same time create opportunities for Vietnamese students to integrate globally.

Awakening the desire to conquer knowledge

Leading experts assess that the Asian Mathematics Competition - AIMO for the 2025-2026 school year is worthy of being a place to nurture the love of science and arouse the desire to conquer knowledge for the young generation of Vietnam, while equipping students with the core competencies of global citizens. Through the Math competitions in English, from difficult problems on paper, new friendships are written with knowledge and sharing.

AIMO is a prestigious international mathematics playground.
