On the morning of December 16, Lieutenant Colonel Do Quang Vinh, Chief of Ga Ry Border Guard Station (located in Ga Ry commune, Tay Giang district, Quang Nam ), said that the unit's medical force had just intervened in time to save the lives of three people in a local family who were poisoned by eating a strange type of wild mushroom.

By 6am this morning, December 16, the 3 patients were out of danger, their blood pressure was stable, and they were conscious. The medical force of Ga Ry Border Guard Station handed over the 3 patients to the medical force of Ga Ry commune for further monitoring and treatment.

Previously, at 7:30 p.m. on December 15, residents of Glao village (Ga Ry commune) discovered that three people in a family, including Ta Ngon Lang (76 years old), Ta Ngon Thi Nhuu (37 years old), and Riah Thi Senh (33 years old), had a seizure and showed strange signs, so they called the medical force of Ga Ry Border Guard Station.

Upon receiving the information, the military medical staff came to check their health. Upon examination, they found that the three people were in a state of severe convulsions, showing signs of dehydration, vomiting, shock, low blood pressure, and cardiovascular collapse, so the military medical staff quickly transferred the patients to Ga Ry Commune Health Station for direct first aid by injecting cardiac stimulants, high-speed infusion to stabilize blood pressure, and detoxification. After first aid, all three people were out of danger.

Currently, 3 poisoned people are conscious.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Vinh, through verification, the victims were poisoned by eating wild mushrooms containing toxins. Due to living habits, people who go to the forest often pick mushrooms to improve their meals but do not know the toxicity of each type of mushroom.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Vinh, the unit will continue to promote propaganda to help people grasp basic information about mushrooms; recommend not to use strange mushrooms to avoid life-threatening poisoning.
