According to Bloomberg, Apple has just planned to add Apple Intelligence to the Vision Pro virtual reality glasses, along with user updates and spatial content applications as soon as April.

The report, citing people familiar with the matter, revealed that Apple plans to roll out these features as part of a software upgrade and they could be available in beta for developers as early as this week.

Apple plans to add Apple Intelligence to its Vision Pro virtual reality headset, along with user mode updates and spatial content apps as early as April.

Apple has been rushing to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) into its devices to stay ahead of rivals. Reuters previously reported that the iPhone maker was in talks with Tencent and TikTok owner ByteDance about integrating their AI models into iPhones sold in China.

Bloomberg said Apple's Vision Pro virtual reality glasses will start at $3,499 in the United States. Apple Intelligence on Vision Pro will include features such as the Writing Tools interface, Genmojis, and the Image Playground app.

The move is seen as an effort to revive sales of the device, which have been languishing since its initial boom following its launch in February last year, due to the headset's high price and competition from cheaper options, including Meta Platforms' Quest headset.

A few days earlier, Apple had reached a cooperation agreement with China's Alibaba in the goal of quickly bringing artificial intelligence to the iPhone. Alibaba Group Chairman Joe Tsai confirmed on Friday that it is cooperating with the "Apple" to deploy artificial intelligence to iPhones sold in the Chinese market.

Analysts say Apple's AI rollout in China may have been hampered by the country's strict regulations on the technology. Beijing has issued a variety of AI regulations in recent years, some of which require large language models to be approved for commercial use. Generative AI providers are also responsible for removing "illegal" content.

However, the deal with Alibaba could give Apple a local partner to help the company navigate the regulatory environment and localize AI.

Alibaba is one of the Chinese tech giants that has built its own large language models and voice assistants. At the end of January, Alibaba released a new version of its artificial intelligence model Qwen 2.5, which is said to outperform DeepSeek-V3, which shocked the tech industry in the early days of 2025 thanks to its low cost and similar performance to OpenAI's ChatGPT.
