According to MacRumors , first announced at the WWDC 2023 developer conference, Vision Pro has received attention from the tech community even though the device's price is quite high. That has been proven based on the number of orders for this "space computer".
Vision Pro is available for $3,500.
Research by analyst Ming-Chi Kuo shows that Apple sold around 160,000 - 180,000 Vision Pro units in the first week of pre-orders. This information makes Kuo's prediction that Vision Pro "sold out" in the first days of release completely possible to come true.
Kuo’s figures also suggest that Apple could exceed its Vision Pro sales projections in the first year of its release. Previous reports have suggested that Apple is aiming to sell around 400,000 Vision Pros in all of 2024. Based on available pre-order information, the Vision Pro has already generated $500 million in revenue for Apple.
The boost in Vision Pro sales is likely due to users getting some information regarding the product's performance capabilities. Reports suggest that multiple "space" games and over 150 3D movies will be available to play on the device, and a number of professional applications will be able to take advantage of the device's power when it is released.
Vision Pro is only available in the US market in the first days of its release. Although it has not been sold in the Vietnamese market, some retailers have advertised this product for 90 million VND as soon as it was launched. Apple is said to be looking to adjust its supply chain to soon bring the product to the world and continue to expand its product portfolio, which they say will help "open the era of spatial computing".
