Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh was elected Vice President of the National Assembly.

On the afternoon of June 6, with 465/467 delegates participating in the vote in favor (equal to 95.48% of the total number of National Assembly delegates), the 15th National Assembly passed a resolution to elect Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh, Head of the Delegation Affairs Committee of the National Assembly Standing Committee, to hold the position of Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly for the 2021-2026 term.

Thus, the National Assembly leadership currently has 5 personnel including National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and 4 Vice Chairmen of the National Assembly: Tran Quang Phuong, Nguyen Khac Dinh, Nguyen Duc Hai, and Nguyen Thi Thanh.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh was born on February 10, 1967; hometown: Yen Nhan commune, Yen Mo district, Ninh Binh province. Professional qualifications: Master of Business Administration, Bachelor of Politics.

She is a member of the Party Central Committee of the 11th (alternate), 12th, and 13th terms; and a National Assembly delegate of the 13th, 14th, and 15th terms.

During her career, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh held the following positions: Member of the Standing Committee of the Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission and Chairwoman of the Provincial Labor Federation; Head of the Legal Committee of the Ninh Binh Provincial People's Council; Secretary of the Yen Khanh District Party Committee, Ninh Binh Province; Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Ninh Binh Province.

From May 2021 to present, she is a member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Party Delegation of the National Assembly, member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Head of the Delegation Affairs Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee; President of the Vietnam - Cambodia Friendship Association; President of the Vietnam - Korea Friendship Parliamentarians' Group; Vice President of the Vietnam Women's National Assembly Delegates' Group; member of the Central Emulation and Reward Council.
