Denounced kidnapping of female student after being beaten by gang

(Dan Tri) - Ia Der Commune Police, Ia Grai District, Gia Lai Province confirmed that there was no incident of a female student being kidnapped as spread on social networks.


On March 4, Ia Der Commune Police, Ia Grai District, Gia Lai Province received a report from the family of VHY, a 7th grade student at Pham Hong Thai Secondary School, Pleiku City, about their child being kidnapped and beaten by a group of young men at a pine hill in Ia Der Commune.

Y.'s family posted information on social media saying "the child was kidnapped and beaten up on a pine hill" and called for help in the search.

After investigation, Ia Der Commune Police found Y. at a friend's house in Ia Kha town, Ia Grai district, Gia Lai province.

According to Y., due to a conflict, he and a group of about 5 teenagers made an appointment to meet at a pine hill in Ia Der commune, Ia Grai district to talk. There, Y. was taken to the pine hill by the group of teenagers and assaulted. Too scared, he did not dare to go home or go to school.

On March 2, Y. used his friend's phone to call his brother to tell him what happened, but could not be contacted afterward.

According to the leaders of Pham Hong Thai Secondary School, Y. is being taken to the hospital by his family for a health check. After learning about the incident, the homeroom teacher visited and encouraged Y. to continue going back to school.
