The two gold medals that the Chinese sports delegation won on August 5 came from Shooting and Gymnastics.
Li Yuehong won the men's 25m rapid fire pistol final, China's 20th gold medal and they overtook the United States to return to the top of the medal table.
This achievement helped China to be the top team in Shooting with 5 gold medals, surpassing other teams competing at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Before Li Yuehong, the four Shooting Gold medals that China had belonged to Huang Yuting-Sheng Lihao, Xie Yu, Sheng Lihao and Liu Yukun.
Also on yesterday's competition day, athlete Zou Jingyuan successfully defended his gold medal in the parallel bars event with 16,200 points to bring home the 21st gold medal for China.
With this achievement, the Chinese Sports Delegation quickly returned to the top of the 2024 Paris Olympic medal table with 21 Gold medals, 18 Silver medals and 14 Bronze medals.
Meanwhile, the US Sports Delegation only won 1 more Gold medal from the Discus Throw event of Athletics.
In the Women's Discus Throw final, Valarie Allman won first place with a throw of 69.5m, thereby successfully defending her Olympic Gold medal.
