Border Guards are too overwhelming.

On the evening of October 10, in the final round, the defending champion of the men's volleyball Border Guard defeated the very strong opponent, Ho Chi Minh City Police, with a score of 3-0. Thanks to that, the army representative was the only team to pass the group stage with a 100% winning record and of course topped the group.

That shows that the performance of Border Defense is still very stable, when owning a squad of domestic stars such as Ngoc Thuan, Van Hiep, Van Duy, The Khai, Duy Tuyen. It is not impossible that the team of Coach Tran Dinh Tien will win like a piece of bamboo in the championship round to complete a campaign according to the perfect scenario, undefeated throughout the tournament.

The remaining 3 teams in the top 4 and will enter the championship round are Ho Chi Minh City Police, Tan Cang The Cong and LPBank Ninh Binh. In this round, the teams will compete in the semi-finals to choose the two winning teams, to enter the final to determine the champion.

Meanwhile, the 4 teams that have to compete to avoid relegation include Sanest Khanh Hoa, Da Nang, Lavie Tay Ninh and Ha Noi . This is the first time since 2018 that Sanest Khanh Hoa is not in the top 4 of the tournament. This clearly shows their decline this year, after a series of key players left.

In the relegation round, 4 teams will continue to compete in a round-robin format and only the last team will be relegated. With what has been shown, Hanoi will almost certainly be the team that says goodbye to the National Volleyball Championship because its strength is too far behind the rest.

LPBank Ninh Binh makes things difficult for itself

In the women's group, many changes happened on the last day of the group stage. LPBank Ninh Binh seemed to have secured the top spot when they only had to face the weakest team, Ho Chi Minh City Club. However, they only won with a score of 3-1 instead of 3-0.

Meanwhile, defending champion VTV Binh Dien Long An, despite facing the strong team Duc Giang Lao Cai Chemicals, won easily 3-0. The Western representative finished the group stage with almost the same record as LPBank Ninh Binh, with 6 wins, 1 loss and 17 points.

However, VTV Binh Dien Long An's set win/loss ratio was slightly better (2.714 compared to 2.375). This came from the fact that both teams had 19 sets won in the group stage, but VTV Binh Dien Long An lost exactly 1 set less than their opponent (7 compared to 8). Thanks to that, the defending champion surprisingly took the top spot in the group in an unbelievable way.

The remaining two teams in the top 4 include the Northeast Signal Corps and Vietinbank, a name that caused quite a few surprises.

In the relegation group, there are 4 names including Duc Giang Lao Cai Chemicals, XMLS Thanh Hoa, Geleximco Hung Yen and finally Ho Chi Minh City Club.
