On September 27, Project Management Board 7 informed that the Ministry of Construction has just sent a document to the Prime Minister reporting on the recovery situation due to heavy rain on the Vinh Hao-Phan Thiet expressway (section passing through Lam Dong province).
Accordingly, the Vinh Hao-Phan Thiet expressway, approximately 100km long, has been accepted by the State Inspection Council for construction. The project will be completed and put into operation from June 10, 2024; currently under a 24-month warranty period.
Recently, Lam Dong province has experienced continuous heavy rains, affecting traffic safety and construction safety on the expressway. In particular, at locations Km213+750 to Km215+620 on the right side of the route, erosion of the slope has occurred at some locations.
Immediately after that, the Ministry of Construction directed Project Management Board 7 and relevant units to inspect the scene and promptly repair the damage; at the same time, directed the Vietnam Road Administration to deploy warning measures, traffic diversion, and temporary reinforcement of the roadbed to ensure traffic safety and prevent the damage from spreading.
In the coming time, the Ministry of Construction will continue to direct relevant agencies and units to carry out the responsibility of project warranty with solutions to ensure long-term stability, and at the same time review the entire project to promptly detect locations at risk of being affected by storms and floods in order to have solutions to ensure the project is operated safely and smoothly.
