Connecting the land, raising the voice

On July 1, 2025, Lam Dong province officially operated on the basis of merging 3 provinces: Lam Dong, Binh Thuan and Dak Nong. Reorganizing the administrative apparatus requires building a new media identity, both inheriting tradition and meeting development requirements in the new context.

During that journey, Lam Dong Newspaper, Radio and Television, the mouthpiece of the Party Committee, government and people of the province, has affirmed its central role in information and propaganda work. With a team of dynamic and brave reporters and editors and a modern technical system, the unit is simultaneously operating 5 types of press: print, radio, television, electronic newspapers and digital content. In particular, it also maintains photo newspapers in ethnic minority languages, which are important information channels for people in remote and isolated areas.

Not only diverse in form, Lam Dong Newspaper and Radio and Television also affirm their position through the quality of their content. A clear proof is that in August 2025, Lam Dong Electronic Newspaper reached 2,139,137 visits, ranking 4th in the top 20 local Party newspapers with the highest number of visits nationwide. This is the result of a strategy of content innovation, close coordination between platforms (print - electronic - social networks) and acumen in grasping the public's need for information.

From reflecting life, developing special topics, to political articles, discussion forums, investigative reports, characters and events... local Party newspapers not only "report news" but also play the role of a "practical organizer" on the ideological communication front.

In the digital information era, Party newspapers are a solid “ideological shield”, helping to orient public opinion, fight against wrong views, and protect the image and prestige of the Party and State. At the same time, they are also a place to honor national culture, spread identity values, and affirm the soft power of the locality through the image of people and culture.

Link to spread

In a large province with a long area, 124 communes, wards and special zones are the "connecting cells" of the political system. Each commune and ward is not only an administrative unit, but also the first point to receive, disseminate and respond to information from the grassroots to the provincial level, from the Party's policies to each citizen. Therefore, effective communication cannot be separated from the connection with each of those "cells". In order for propaganda work to go into depth and reach the right target, close coordination between the Party newspaper and the grassroots government is indispensable. Understanding that, in recent days, the Editorial Board of Lam Dong Newspaper and Radio and Television has organized many direct working sessions with leaders of communes, wards and special zones across the province, to discuss the mechanism for coordinating information and propaganda in the new period.

With the two-level local government model, the task of information and propaganda is increasingly demanding. Localities need a strong, reputable information channel that can guide public opinion and inspire development. Conversely, the press also needs support and proactive coordination from all levels of government so that the content is complete, oriented and honestly reflects real life.

Such coordination is not only a professional need, but also an inevitable requirement of ideological and political work in the new situation. The Party Newspaper cannot operate effectively without local resources; conversely, localities cannot do a good job of communication without the support of the press. The signing of a coordination agreement between Lam Dong Newspaper and Radio and Television with localities is a practical step to link two tasks: communication - development. In the spirit of proactiveness and practicality, the two sides agreed to sign an annual coordination program. Localities will develop estimates and balance the budget to order propaganda content suitable to local characteristics and political - economic - social tasks. Notably, Lam Dong Newspaper and Radio and Television support 50% of the propaganda costs, demonstrating the spirit of sharing, companionship and common responsibility.

Accordingly, the content of propaganda coordination between Lam Dong Newspaper, Radio and Television with localities includes: propaganda on the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws; reflecting good models, practices, good people - good deeds; introducing investment potential, tourism development, cultural preservation; communicating on national target programs, border protection; promptly orienting public opinion, refuting bad and toxic information...

The two sides agreed to maintain a regular coordination mechanism, ensuring information is updated promptly, accurately, and in the right direction; together building a healthy, modern, in-depth media environment, meeting information needs in the period of digital transformation, integration, and development.

In the context of Lam Dong province after the merger is changing strongly, ideological communication work also requires innovation from thinking to doing. The increasingly close coordination between Lam Dong Newspaper and Radio, Television with localities not only demonstrates a proactive and flexible spirit, but also reflects a new communication mindset: focusing on practice, taking accurate and timely information as the foundation, and taking people as the center of enjoyment.

Today's press is no longer limited to one-way information transmission, but is becoming a strategic partner of the government in promoting development. Each column, news bulletin, and reportage is part of a comprehensive media picture, where information is not only communicated, but also organized, debated, and disseminated, contributing to the connection between policies and actions, between policies and life, between development aspirations and local realities. Lam Dong Newspaper, Radio, and Television are clearly demonstrating their pioneering, innovative role and accompanying the locality in the process of building Lam Dong province to be increasingly developed, stable, and sustainable.

In the new development stage, local Party newspapers play a key role in connecting policies with actions, spreading aspirations from the grassroots. Close coordination between Lam Dong Newspaper and Radio and Television with localities in the whole province is not only a professional requirement, but also a strategic solution to improve propaganda effectiveness, create consensus and motivation for comprehensive development.
