Through inspection, police discovered in Tran Ngoc Thanh's rented room a plastic bag containing crystal meth weighing more than 17.9 grams and drug use tools.

Initially, Thanh confessed that he bought the drugs from a stranger in Ho Chi Minh City and brought them to An Giang to use. The case is being further investigated by Thoai Son District Police (An Giang).
