Arrest of fraudster, discovery of many reporter and editor cards

According to documents from the investigation agency, recently, in the province, there has been a situation where a number of subjects have taken advantage of their status as collaborators of some media agencies to commit crimes and violate the law, causing outrage among the people.

Identifying the subjects' behavior as having signs of the crime of "fraudulent appropriation of property", the Office of the Investigation Police Agency of Nghe An Province Police has established a special project to fight and clarify.

Through verification and screening of subjects, the investigation team found Luu Khac Tung (born in 1984, residing in Phuc La ward, Ha Dong district, Hanoi city).

Tung contacted a number of people inside and outside Nghe An province, providing information to NNH's family (the subject prosecuted and detained for gambling) that he would run a case to appropriate 5 billion VND from H's family.

Through verification, Tung used to be a collaborator of a number of media agencies, then a freelance worker in many localities.

After a period of synchronous and effective use of professional measures, at 0:45 on December 17, 2023, at an apartment building in Thanh Hoa City, Thanh Hoa Province, the working group of the Office of the Investigation Police Agency of Nghe An Province executed an order to detain Luu Khac Tung in an emergency for the act of fraud and appropriation of property.

Many reporter and editor cards were found.

During the search, the police seized many papers including reporter and editor cards of several electronic magazines and television channels; 3 car license plates (suspected to be fake) and many other important documents to serve the investigation.

Through the struggle, initially, Luu Khac Tung admitted all of his fraudulent acts of property appropriation.

Currently, the Investigation Police Agency of Nghe An Province is continuing to investigate and handle the case according to the provisions of law.
