Closing the 1st Can Tho City Party Congress, term 2025-2030

The Executive Committee of the Can Tho City Party Committee was appointed at the congress.

The Congress voted to pass a Resolution on socio- economic development and national defense and security, with 28 targets.

In particular, Can Tho city strives for an average growth rate of gross regional domestic product in the 2025-2030 period of 10-10.5%/year or more; GRDP per capita reaching about 215 million VND/person/year; multidimensional poverty rate by 2030 is 2.42%, maintaining a decrease of 1%/year; striving for more than 90% of communes to meet new rural standards.

To successfully implement the Congress Resolution, Can Tho city urgently reviewed, supplemented and adjusted the master plan on economic and social development; urban and rural planning; sectoral planning... on the basis of integrating the planning of the three localities, ensuring unity, synchronization and maximizing the potential, advantages and new development space of the city after the merger.

The delegation to the 14th National Congress of the Party was appointed at the congress.

The Congress announced the Politburo's Decision to assign and appoint comrade Le Quang Tung, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Secretary General, and Head of the National Assembly Office, to join the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and hold the position of Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.

Comrades: Dong Van Thanh, Tran Van Huyen, Nguyen Tuan Anh, Truong Canh Tuyen, Ho Thi Cam Dao were appointed as Deputy Secretaries of the City Party Committee. The Organizing Committee announced the list of the City Party Executive Committee for the 2025-2030 term, including 77 comrades, and the Standing Committee, including 18 comrades.

The Congress announced the Politburo's Decision to appoint the City Party Committee's Inspection Committee for the 2025-2030 term, consisting of 14 comrades. Comrade Pham Thi Phuong, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, was the chairwoman of the Can Tho City Party Committee's Inspection Committee for the 2025-2030 term; and appointed the Can Tho City Delegation to attend the 14th National Party Congress, consisting of 46 official delegates and 1 alternate delegate.
