Ensure medical benefits with new examination schedule
On September 30, Bach Mai Hospital sent out a notice to patients, ensuring safety in complex stormy weather.
According to the leaders of Bach Mai Hospital, if the weather conditions in the patient's area are very dangerous, please prioritize keeping yourself and your family safe. Do not try to travel to the hospital on time if it is unsafe to travel.
"The hospital fully understands and will create favorable conditions for patients to postpone their medical examinations until the weather stabilizes. After the storm has passed and traffic conditions are safe again, please come for examination as soon as possible.
We will arrange a new, suitable examination schedule while still ensuring the health insurance benefits of patients," information from Bach Mai Hospital confirmed.
In addition, the hospital recommends that patients strictly follow the old prescription. This is the most important thing at this time to stabilize their health.
If the medicine is running out, proactively call the hotline or the department/room where the patient is being treated to get advice on the most appropriate and safest way to handle it.
Ready to provide professional support for the lines
According to Bach Mai Hospital, during stormy weather, if it is an emergency requiring immediate medical care, please do not hesitate to go to the nearest medical facility (commune or ward health station, provincial general hospital).
Bach Mai Hospital, as the final line, is ready to support remote diagnosis consultation (Telehealth) and coordinate with local medical facilities to consult and provide the most timely and effective treatment regimen for patients.
In case of emergency or health problem requiring urgent advice, please do not hesitate to contact the hospital's consulting hotline for support.

"We are always ready to receive, rescue and provide emergency treatment to people in distress.
The entire medical team was mobilized and coordinated closely to ensure quick, safe and effective treatment, determined not to delay even a minute when the patient's life was threatened," informed the leader of Viet Duc Hospital.
On September 29, a number of patients were also transferred to Viet Duc Hospital for emergency treatment due to accidents caused by storm Bualoi.
As in the case of patient BTS (40 years old, Ninh Binh ) who had an accident due to the impact of storm BUALOI, the house wall collapsed causing a first degree open fracture of the left leg and left shoulder injury.
The patient was transferred to the Department of Lower Limb Surgery for monitoring and surgical treatment of the injury.
Or like the case of patient TVL (52 years old, Quang Ngai ) while taking shelter from the storm in an empty container that unfortunately collapsed, causing spinal trauma, fractures of the T12 and L2 vertebrae, instability, and incomplete spinal paralysis. The patient has now been assigned to undergo emergency spinal surgery.
