Accordingly, the Artificial Kidney Department (A3) conducts blood filtration with HA130 filters. The Emergency Resuscitation Department (A8) performs one-stage tracheostomy using percutaneous dilation combined with bronchoscopy. The General Surgery Department (B2-B3) crushes and removes kidney stones through the skin, cauterizes thyroid nodules with high-frequency waves, performs laparoscopic gastrectomy, and transperitoneal laparoscopic surgery to treat inguinal hernias. Spacious rooms, modern facilities
Military Hospital 121 main facility located in Ninh Kieu Ward ( Can Tho City) includes Area A (address No. 01, 30/4 Street) with an area of 45,100 m² and Area B ( Medical Staff Training Center) with an area of 9,349 m² at No. 227, 30/4 Street. The hospital is also carrying out procedures according to regulations to implement the project of Facility 2 with an area of 30,000 m² in Phu Quoc special zone, An Giang province.
On July 23, 2025, in the area of Area A, Military Hospital 121 officially put into operation a modern examination department (elevator, air-conditioned room, VIP area, relaxation room, 250-seat comfortable hall...) with a scale of 4 floors and a usable floor area of 5,000 m² . This examination department project was implemented under the construction project of Military Hospital 121 (phase 2), with a total investment of 110 billion VND, from the state budget for regular defense expenditure.

Previously, Military Hospital 121 renovated the 1,600 m² Artificial Kidney Department and the 780 m² Nutrition Department to promptly meet the needs of high-quality medical examination and treatment. The hospital also completed phase 1 of the complete construction of a modern, spacious 600-bed Inpatient Treatment Area, a High-Tech Area, an Infectious Diseases Department, an Infection Control Department, a Hospital Commander's House, an Office Block Work Area, and a system of trees, yards, and spacious roads.
Dr. Tran Manh Hung said that the 121 Military Hospital has been invested in modern and synchronous medical equipment, which has contributed to improving the quality of medical examination and treatment for all health insurance patients and medical services from provinces and cities. Many modern equipment such as CT scanner, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), digital subtraction angiography (DSA) for timely diagnosis of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases), scintigraphy machine (Spect CT for kidney scintigraphy, bone scintigraphy, thyroid scintigraphy), liver elastography machine (Fibroscan), Cobas 6000 testing system, cold biopsy system, electron microscope system, digestive endoscope, bone densitometer, spinal traction machine and other advanced equipment have helped to improve the increasingly effective diagnosis and treatment of the hospital.
To celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, Military Hospital 121 organized a working delegation to Long Thanh commune (An Giang) to examine and provide free medicine to 300 people and give 300 gifts to representatives of policy families, poor households, and those in difficult circumstances with a total cost of over 134 million VND.
