On the evening of October 4, the Ministry of Public Security announced that the Office of the Investigation Police Agency had issued a decision to prosecute a criminal case for violating accounting regulations causing serious consequences, related to Hoang Huong Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company and companies and business households established and directed by Ms. Hoang Thi Huong (38 years old, from Phu Tho, also known as Hoang Huong) in Hanoi and other provinces and cities nationwide.

The Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency has issued decisions to prosecute, arrest, and ban six suspects from leaving their place of residence.

Including prosecution and temporary detention of Ms. Hoang Thi Huong (owner of Hoang Thi Huong business household, owner of Hoang Huong ecosystem) and 5 other defendants.

Immediately after the news of Ms. Hoang Huong's prosecution and temporary detention, it attracted much public attention, especially "loyal customers" who regularly follow Ms. Huong's social media platforms.

Fanpages such as "Hoang Huong Cosmetic Dentistry" (1.5 million followers) and "Hoang Huong International Dentistry" (with blue tick, 2.3 million followers), "Hoang Huong" (more than 700,000 followers)... are all active and posting videos of volunteering.

Even many elderly people who regularly follow Ms. Hoang Huong believe that the information that Ms. Huong was prosecuted and detained is fabricated because they see her doing "charity on Facebook" every day.

These fanpages posted pictures of Ms. Huong and her staff doing charity work in flooded and mountainous areas, along with the captions "I feel so sorry for the people", "Journey to the Central Highlands" or "Storms and floods are so scary...", posts that attracted a large number of viewers.

While the investigation agency continues to expand the investigation, the information shared has raised public skepticism. However, according to the investigation, the posted content is all videos recorded before Ms. Hoang Huong was temporarily detained and prosecuted by the investigation agency.

For example, in the video of Phu Tho flooding since 2024, Ms. Huong and her group went to Phu Tho to give charity gifts. Currently, Ms. Huong is still in detention. However, posting old information makes viewers skeptical, some people do not even believe that Ms. Huong was prosecuted!

"Explode the sky" advertisement

Before being prosecuted, Ms. Hoang Huong was involved in a series of scandals of false advertising, deviant statements and controversial business tactics.

Targeting mainly elderly customers, Ms. Huong often livestreams to advertise products with shocking statements, "explosive" advertisements, and even "divine" advertisements about her functional food products that cure diseases after only 1 course of treatment.

Mouthwash products are advertised as "curing bad breath from past lives to this life" and "curing long-term gingivitis".

Or the joint pills are advertised as "miracle drugs" that cure all joint diseases in just 1-2 months.

Because of the flattering advertisements and the image of her regularly doing charity work, many elderly people have become loyal customers of the brand that Ms. Huong built.

After Ms. Huong was prosecuted by the investigation agency, many people expressed concerns about the quality of the products of the Hoang Huong ecosystem that were put on the market. Many people shared that the products did not have the effects that Ms. Huong had advertised.

In particular, after the recent crackdown on counterfeit and poor quality goods, people hope that the investigation agency will clarify the quality of products of the Hoang Huong ecosystem.
