Before 2016, Yen Son 1 village (former Thanh Yen commune, now Thanh Vinh commune) was in a particularly difficult situation, with limited infrastructure and low living standards. The whole village had 137 households with more than 570 people, but only had about 16 hectares of rice land. Due to the incomplete irrigation system and difficulties in water supply, the entire area could only grow one rice crop per year. While the income from forests and forestry land was not high, the goal of reaching the new rural village standard soon was an extremely difficult task.

Clearly defining the goal of building a new countryside as using the people's strength to care for the people, and the implementation method of people knowing, people discussing, people doing, people checking, people supervising, people benefiting, the Party Committee and the Front Working Committee of Yen Son 1 village have agreed on a roadmap, methods, easy-to-do criteria step by step, difficult criteria later. In particular, propaganda and mobilization work is given top priority. Implementing this policy, in the role of Party cell secretary and head of the village Front Working Committee, Mr. Dinh Van The has taken the lead, going to every alley and knocking on every door to propagate and clearly state the benefits when people join hands in building a new countryside and participating in patriotic emulation movements.

The first is to mobilize and organize people to regularly clean up the environment, donate land to expand village roads and intra-field roads, participate in developing economic models, and then contribute to building works that meet the criteria of new rural construction. If one mobilization does not work, then mobilize many times, the rain soaks in the rain, and when people have a thorough understanding of their rights, responsibilities, and obligations, they will all listen. With that approach, the people of Yen Son 1 village enthusiastically participated in donating hundreds of meters of residential land and rice fields, contributing thousands of working days to build village roads, alleys, and intra-field traffic. Yen Son 1 village is also the leading village in the old Thach Thanh district in the movement of concreting intra-field roads. Along with that, the Party Committee, Party members in the Party cell and Party cell secretary Dinh Van The actively mobilized people to donate rice fields to widen intra-field roads, build covered drainage ditches along intra-village traffic roads. Up to now, all intra-field roads of the village with a length of more than 4km have been widened to more than 4m and are almost completed with concreting.

In addition, clearly analyzing the potential, strengths and task requirements, Mr. The held a meeting to discuss and agree in the Party cell to implement solutions to develop the economy and increase income for the people. Since then, the village Party cell has promoted propaganda, disseminated information, and encouraged the village's workers to work at garment companies around the area. At the same time, actively transformed the economic structure, and mobilized people to plant corn and lemongrass on a large scale to develop production and increase income.

Notably, taking advantage of the location near Cuc Phuong National Park and with the support of World Vision, Party cell secretary Dinh Van The has experimented with raising honey bees and then disseminated knowledge and techniques, helping households in the village to follow suit. Recently, the village has established a beekeeping group attracting about 20 households to participate with over 700 honey bee colonies. Beekeeping has applied scientific and technical achievements, helping to increase product value as well as economic efficiency of the people.

With a dynamic spirit, promoting the role of mass mobilization work, the Party Committee, Party cell, Front work committee and Mr. Dinh Van The have propagated and mobilized the people to successfully implement the assigned goals and tasks. Up to now, the average income per capita of the village has reached about 50 million VND/year, the village has only 7 poor households. When life has been improved and gradually improved, the people in the village have actively contributed money from the New Rural Construction Program, joined hands to support poor households and policy households to build houses. Yen Son 1 village has also basically completed the criteria for New Rural Construction and is completing the documents to submit to the competent authority for approval.
