Tonight (June 14), the Vietnamese women's volleyball team affirmed their strength as the reigning champions of the AVC Nations Cup when they won convincingly 3-0 against the Philippines to take the championship title. In the decisive match, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet fielded his strongest lineup with Tran Thi Thanh Thuy, Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen, Nguyen Thi Trinh, Doan Thi Lam Oanh, Nguyen Thi Uyen, Khanh Dang. The hitter from Vinh Long, Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen, showed her outstanding technical ability. With good momentum and the good support of setter Lam Oanh, Bich Tuyen launched many extremely powerful high smashes, "tearing apart" the Philippine team's block, scoring points for the Vietnamese women's volleyball team.

After a 25/15 victory in the first game, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team faced fierce "resistance" from the Philippines team in the second game, but Bich Tuyen, Thanh Thuy and their teammates rose up at the right time, winning 25/17.
