Billiards: Vietnamese player defeats Turkish 'dancing king' at PBA

Ma Minh Cam showed his mettle in the singles match against the veteran Turkish player, contributing to the home team's victory over a strong opponent at the PBA Team League Korean billiards tournament in the 2025-2026 season.

The second round of the 3rd round of the PBA Team League 2025-2026 billiards tournament took place on September 15. Continuing the excellent performance of the opening day, Ma Minh Cam continued to play well to contribute to helping the NH Pay team win against the very strong opponent Phoenix. Phoenix won the championship in the 2nd round of the PBA Team League this season, possessing a "huge" force, standing out with 2 veteran players of the European and world 3-cushion carom billiards village: Daniel Sanchez (Spain) and Semih Sayginer (Turkey).

In this match, Ma Ming-Jin and Cho Jae-ho played together in the men's doubles match, facing Sayginer/Han Ji-seung. The NH Pay duo lost the first set 11-4. After losing the first set, NH Pay immediately leveled the score to 1-1, winning the second set of the women's doubles.

Ma Minh Cam continued to play in the third game (men's singles), facing a formidable opponent, Semih Sayginer. Against the Turkish "dancing king", the Vietnamese player entered the match with a series of 5 points. In the following rounds, Minh Cam played tightly and knew how to seize opportunities to score points.

In the final stages of the game, Ma Minh Cam had difficulty finishing. On the other side, Sayginer tried to keep up and put some pressure on the Vietnamese player. However, Ma Minh Cam showed his mettle and finished the game with a precise a bang to beat Sayginer 15/11, after 9 turns.

NH Pay's players continued to win the 4th and 5th games, thereby winning the final score of 4-1 against Phoenix.

Sayginer is famous for his beautiful performance shots, so he is called by nicknames such as "dancing king", "wizard"...

In the match that took place on the same day, Hana Card team (of Nguyen Quoc Nguyen) won the Winners team with a final score of 4-2. In this match, Quoc Nguyen and Coklu played the first game and lost 0/11 to the Winners team pair (Burat Hashas and Lutfi Cenet). However, Quoc Nguyen's teammates did well in the following games and helped Hana Card win their second consecutive victory in the third round of the 2025-2026 PBA Team League. After 2 rounds, Hana Card is leading the rankings with 6 points.
