The Ministry of Industry and Trade will organize a seminar "Connecting international goods supply chains 2024"

Tomorrow morning, April 12, at the Southern Representative Office of the Ministry of Industry and Trade (Ho Chi Minh City), the Department of European - American Markets (Ministry of Industry and Trade) organized a seminar on "Participation of distribution corporations and international purchasing contacts in Vietnam International Sourcing 2024".

According to the Department of European - American Markets (Ministry of Industry and Trade), following the successes of 2023, Viet Nam International Sourcing 2024 attracted attention from many distribution corporations and international purchasing contacts such as: Aeon, Uniqlo (Japan); Walmart, Amazon, Boeing, AES (USA), Carrefour, Decathlon (France); Central Group (Thailand); Coppel (Mexico); IKEA (Sweden), LuLu (UAE)...

In addition to the goal of promoting exports, Viet Nam International Sourcing 2024 also has additional sideline activities to support businesses in improving their capacity and developing sustainably when entering the global market.

Many distribution corporations and purchasing agents are interested in Vietnamese agricultural and food products.

In particular, the series of events recorded the participation of the system of Vietnamese Trade Offices/Trade Office Branches abroad. Including many large markets such as: USA, China, Malaysia, UK, Sweden, Chile, Mexico... Accordingly, the Vietnamese Trade Offices and Trade Office Branches abroad have proactively and actively sought, contacted, worked to persuade, and invited purchasing delegations, import enterprises, and distribution enterprises of the host country to Vietnam to participate in the above series of exhibitions and seminars.

With a scale of 10,000 ^m2 for 500 businesses in Vietnam's strong industries and international distributors and retailers in need such as: Food, textiles, footwear, backpacks, handbags, sports and outdoor goods, household appliances and furniture, supporting industries... the event promises to attract 10,000 visitors, trading with 300 international delegations from 30 countries and territories.

Previously, in 2023, the event series "Connecting the international supply chain 2023" (Viet Nam International Sourcing 2023) attracted more than 300 businesses to participate in displaying and introducing more than 5,000 products and services that meet export standards. At this event, visitors explored and had the opportunity to meet and exchange with leading global distributors and retailers such as: Aeon, Walmart, Carrefour, Costco, Decathlon, Coppel, Amazon, Boeing, Google, Uniqlo, AES, Central Group, IKEA, Lulu...

The series of events "Connecting international supply chains 2024" (Viet Nam International Sourcing 2024) is an activity to actively implement the Project "Promoting Vietnamese enterprises to directly participate in foreign distribution networks by 2030" approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 1415/QD-TTg dated November 14, 2022.

Accordingly, the Ministry of Industry and Trade assigned the Department of European - American Markets and the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to assign the Investment and Trade Promotion Center (ITPC) to coordinate with relevant units to organize the series of events. It is expected that the series of events will take place from June 6 to 8, 2024 in Ho Chi Minh City.
