This morning, in Da Nang , the 30th Anniversary of Duy Tan University was celebrated and the Prime Minister's decision to convert Duy Tan University into Duy Tan University was announced.

Minister Kim Son said that in 1994, the Prime Minister signed the Decision to establish Duy Tan University - one of the first five non-public universities in the country.

Duy Tan University has made many contributions to human resource training for Da Nang, the Central Highlands region and the whole country.

The school has 5 training facilities with an area of ​​over 85,000m2, over 250 practice rooms, laboratories, medical simulation room systems, library systems, and data centers. The school has built a human resource team of over 1,100 lecturers. The proportion of lecturers with doctoral degrees and titles of Associate Professor and Professor is over 30%.

Duy Tan University also provides more than 87,000 university-educated human resources, with the employment rate of students after 1 year of graduation reaching over 90%.

“I hope that this change is not a change of name but a change towards depth, towards liberating creativity, towards modern and intelligent management. I hope that the University will be operated with a more scientific , advanced, larger-scale university management apparatus, with a higher mission, a broader and longer-term vision, towards sustainable development” – the Minister expressed.

The Minister noted that, during this change in organizational model, the school needs to review its philosophy and development strategy, mission, vision; review its university governance methods, teaching and learning methods, scientific research and scientific publication, human resource attraction and development over the past time... What is good and reasonable should continue to be promoted, what is not reasonable and does not bring prestige and value should be changed.

Over the past 30 years, the school has provided 87,116 PhDs, masters, doctors, pharmacists, engineers, architects and bachelors - high-quality human resources.

Duy Tan University also receives 20 points (the highest priority score) from the Singapore Government for Duy Tan University graduates when applying for a Visa to work in Singapore.

The school has always maintained a high position in international rankings with the position of Top 500 best universities in the world in 2025 according to QS Rankings and Top 600+ in 2025 according to THE Rankings and position 127 in Asia in 2025 (number 1 among 17 ranked Vietnamese educational institutions).
