Coast Guard Region 4 Command: Proactive, determined, and comprehensively completing tasks in the first 6 months of 2025

The report at the conference showed that: In the first 6 months of 2025, the Party Standing Committee and the Head of the Regional Command have led and directed resolutely and synchronously, completing all assigned tasks. Notably, the strict maintenance of discipline and combat readiness regime (SSCD); proactively grasping the situation at sea, promptly advising and effectively handling situations, avoiding being passive or surprised. Party and political work have been deployed extensively, closely following mission requirements; units have been built politically strong, absolutely safe in all activities. In addition, the forces have effectively deployed law enforcement tasks at sea, ensuring good logistics and technical work in both regular and ad hoc tasks.

Notably, the Regional Command has organized 143 ships and boats to perform the tasks of SSCĐ duty, patrol, control and law enforcement, combat IUU fishing... and safely traveled more than 34,000 nautical miles. Received, inspected and handled 228 cases/236 ships, issued decisions to administratively sanction 205 cases/208 ships with a fine of nearly 3 billion VND; prosecuted 2 criminal cases for organizing illegal entry and exit for others. Presided over and coordinated the arrest and handling of 11 cases/11 ships with illegal transportation of more than 1 million liters of DO oil, 30 tons of sugar and more than 230 tons of urea fertilizer (achieving 100% of the target for 2025); 6 cases/6 ships with the behavior of concealing and storing 15 VMS devices of other fishing vessels; 5 cases/7 subjects with illegal drug possession... Total amount collected from administrative fines and sale of confiscated assets paid to the State budget is nearly 20.4 billion VND.

At the conference, the Regional Command organized the awarding of the title of Emulation Fighter of the Whole Army and Certificates of Merit from the Minister of National Defense to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the Emulation Movement for Victory in the period 2022-2024; at the same time, awards were given to outstanding collectives and individuals in the peak emulation period "Lightning Speed - Victory".

Major General Nguyen Van Dung, Party Secretary, Political Commissar - Chairman of the Emulation and Reward Council of the Regional Command, signed to recognize the emulation covenant of the agencies and units.

On this occasion, the Regional Command launched a peak emulation campaign to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, towards the 6th Congress of the Coast Guard Party Committee, the 11th Congress of the Army's Emulation for Victory, and the 12th Congress of the Army Party Committee, with the theme: "Raising high the red flag of August - Emulating to win 3 firsts".
