The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has just sent a document to its agencies and units to provide timely instructions on the flood situation in the North.

In this document, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism requests the Heads of units under the Ministry to continue to inspect, review, and have plans to protect cultural, sports, tourism institutions and facilities managed by the unit. At the same time, the Ministry also requires the suspension of entertainment, recreation, and tourism activities during the flood warning period. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism requests its affiliated agencies to seriously organize on-duty shifts, regularly provide timely information and report to the Ministry on the situation of flood response and damage occurring in the management areas of the agencies and units.

“Synthesize in writing the works and items damaged by storm No. 3 and floods that directly affect the operations of agencies and units, along with the estimate of damage recovery, to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (through the Ministry's Office) for consideration and decision,” the Ministry of Culture stated in the document. For agencies and units under the Ministry headquartered in Hanoi , especially in districts such as Bac Tu Liem, Tay Ho, Ba Dinh, Hoan Kiem, Hai Ba Trung, Hoang Mai, Long Bien, Thanh Tri, Dong Anh, Gia Lam, the Ministry of Culture directs to proactively monitor the developments of floods on mass media and announcements of local authorities, ministries and related branches to take timely measures to ensure the safety of life and property of cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers, teachers, students. “Closely coordinate with localities to deploy flood response plans, prepare available forces, means and materials to move important artifacts and documents to safe places, organize to overcome consequences and support localities when requested,” the Ministry's document clearly stated.
