Ministry of Construction donates 5 billion VND to support people to overcome damage caused by storms and floods

On October 21, the Ministry of Construction donated 5 billion VND to support people to overcome the consequences of storms and floods. This amount was donated by officials, civil servants and workers in the construction industry in recent times.

Minister of Construction Tran Hong Minh said that recently, agencies and units in the construction industry have actively mobilized and supported people affected by natural disasters, storms, floods as well as other social security activities such as programs to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, build social housing, etc.

In addition to the donated money, construction units and businesses also directly supported localities damaged by natural disasters with billions of dong.

Receiving the support of cadres, workers and civil servants in the construction industry, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien acknowledged the companionship and support of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in the construction industry.

To date, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front has received more than 1,000 billion VND from agencies, organizations, units, businesses, and individuals who have registered to support and send it to people who have suffered losses, including workers in the construction industry.

Chairman Do Van Chien expressed his hope that the Construction industry will research and propose engineering and non-engineering solutions to effectively and sustainably prevent floods.
