Who are the new department directors after the merger of Bac Lieu?

Bac Lieu province has just announced important decisions on restructuring the administrative apparatus and personnel work.

On the afternoon of February 21, the People's Committee of Bac Lieu province held a conference to announce the Resolutions of the Provincial People's Council on the organization of the apparatus and the Decisions of the Provincial People's Committee on the organization of cadres at agencies and units implementing the arrangement according to Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW dated October 25, 2017 of the 12th Central Executive Committee.

Accordingly, the Department of Finance will be established based on the merger of the Department of Finance and the Department of Planning and Investment; the Department of Science and Technology will be established based on the merger of the Department of Information and Communications and the Department of Science and Technology; the Department of Home Affairs will be established based on the merger of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs and the Department of Home Affairs; the Department of Construction will be established based on the merger of the Department of Transport and the Department of Construction; the Department of Agriculture and Environment will be established based on the merger of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Department of Natural Resources and Environment. All will take effect from March 1, 2025.

The Board of Directors of the Department of Finance includes Mr. Huynh Cong Quan as Director and 3 Deputy Directors.

The Board of Directors of the Department of Home Affairs includes Mr. Tu Minh Phuc as Director and 6 Deputy Directors.

The Board of Directors of the Department of Science and Technology includes Mr. Bui Thanh Toan as Director and 4 Deputy Directors.

The Board of Directors of the Department of Construction includes Mr. Nguyen Huy Dung as Director and 6 Deputy Directors.

The Board of Directors of the Department of Agriculture and Environment includes Mr. Luu Hoang Ly as Director and 6 Deputy Directors.

Assign Mr. To Thanh Phuong, Head of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions to be Acting Director of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions and 1 Deputy Director. At the same time, mobilize and appoint Ms. Ho Thi Tuyet Nhung, Director of the Department of Finance to hold the position of Chief of Office of the Provincial People's Committee.

Speaking at the conference, Chairman of Bac Lieu Provincial People's Committee Pham Van Thieu requested the newly established departments, with new organization, new apparatus and in new positions, to have high determination, great efforts, and drastic actions in performing their tasks. In particular, the heads of the units when coming into operation must quickly develop plans, action programs, regulations, rules, and build a united collective so that the units can operate smoothly, continuously in a streamlined, effective and efficient manner.
