DTO - Lunar New Year 2025 is approaching. Many traditional craft villages in Lai Vung district are busy producing to welcome the Tet season to serve the needs of people inside and outside the province.

In the days leading up to the Lunar New Year 2025, the atmosphere at Lai Vung spring roll production facilities is very busy and bustling. Inside the facility, meat grinders and workers are working at full capacity to produce spring rolls and sausages; full boxes are carefully packaged, waiting to be sold on the market.


On the occasion of Tet, Nem Hoang Khanh facility increases the number of workers to meet the needs of tourists in and outside the province.

Ms. Dang Thi Ngoc Thuy - owner of Nem Hoang Khanh facility (Tan Thanh commune, Lai Vung district) said that Tet is always the time when the most products of nem, bi, and cha lua are produced. If on normal days there are only about 10-15 workers, now the facility has increased to 30-35 workers to meet the market consumption which has increased by about 40-50%. Every day, the facility supplies the market with more than 10,000 products of nem, bi of all kinds.

Similarly, Nem Ut Thang Production Facility (Long Hau Commune, Lai Vung District) is also accelerating production. Currently, the facility sells an average of 10,000-12,000 spring rolls, pork skin, and pork sausages per day, double the normal rate. To produce enough goods to supply customers, the facility has made preparations such as doubling the number of workers and equipping more machinery and equipment for production. The time when spring rolls are consumed the most is from January to April of the lunar calendar, when many tourists from the Southeast and Western provinces celebrate Spring and the Lady of the Land festival in Chau Doc, An Giang.


Workers at Nem Ut Thang Production Facility are focusing on producing nem and pork roll skin products to serve market demand.

Mr. Le Ngoc Thang - owner of Nem Ut Thang Production Facility shared: "The increase in production volume is also thanks to the fact that the Nem Lai Vung making profession in Dong Thap province was officially recognized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage, contributing to the preservation and development of the local traditional handicraft. Coming to the rice paper craft village of Tan Phuoc commune on the last days of the year, we felt the bustling atmosphere of workers carrying out the steps of making rice paper, drying rice paper... The increased volume of goods not only brings joy to the owners of the establishments but also helps many local workers have a stable source of income.


Rice paper production facilities in Tan Phuoc commune are entering the largest production season of the year.

Many Tan Phuoc rice paper producers said that as the Lunar New Year approaches, the number of orders increases, so the bakery operates at full capacity to meet market demand. Each day, each producer supplies about 2,000 sweet rice paper to the market, 2-3 times more than usual.

In the traditional green rice craft village of Tan Thanh commune, Lai Vung district, the bustling atmosphere of the rice production facilities with the continuous popping sounds of green rice mixed with the characteristic aroma. For nearly a month now, Thanh Thanh Thuy Facility (Tan Thanh commune, Lai Vung district) has had to increase the number of workers to deliver goods to distributors in the province and the markets of Can Tho city, An Giang province, Ho Chi Minh city and the Southeast region...
