Thanh Xuan, Khuong Dinh and Phuong Liet wards commit to ensuring fire prevention and safety.

The Fire Fighting and Rescue Team of Area No. 13, Fire Prevention and Fighting Police Department (PCCC) and CNCH, Hanoi City Police has just coordinated with the People's Committees of Thanh Xuan, Khuong Dinh and Phuong Liet wards to deploy and guide the implementation of state management of fire prevention and fighting and CNCH.

The working sessions took place in the context of the two-level local government model in Hanoi officially operating. This poses an urgent need to clearly define the responsibilities and authority of the ward People's Committee in state management of fire prevention and fighting and search and rescue, ensuring proactiveness and synchronization in performing tasks at the grassroots level.

At the working sessions, Lieutenant Colonel Vu Hong Linh, Deputy Head of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Department, emphasized the role and responsibility of the Ward People's Committee in organizing and implementing fire prevention and rescue work in accordance with the new decentralization and delegation of authority.

At the same time, Lieutenant Colonel Vu Hong Linh suggested that units urgently review and update the system of related legal documents, adjust them to suit local realities; fully implement plans and topics of the City Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee on fire prevention and fighting in the period up to 2025, with a vision to 2030. This is an important basis to improve the effectiveness of state management and strengthen fire prevention and fighting capacity in the new situation.

Regarding the key tasks, the Fire Fighting and Rescue Team of Area 13 proposed to promote propaganda and build a movement for the entire population to participate in fire prevention and rescue, considering this as the foundation for ensuring fire safety right from the grassroots. In particular, it emphasized the need to mobilize 100% of households to equip themselves with fire extinguishers, early warning systems, open second escape routes, and prepare support equipment such as smoke masks, rope ladders, etc.

Along with that, focus on developing and maintaining the effective operation of fire prevention models in residential areas, production and business establishments, promoting the role of civil defense forces and inter-family fire prevention and safety teams.
