Cases of direct admission to university

(HNMO) - In response to the concerns of many candidates about which cases will be considered for direct admission to university in 2023, on May 14, information from the Ministry of Education and Training said: Candidates with a good intermediate pedagogical degree or higher, or a good intermediate pedagogical degree and at least 2 years of work in the right field will be considered for direct admission to the college-level preschool education program.

In addition, Circular No. 08/2022/TT-BGDDT promulgating regulations on university and college admissions for preschool education issued by the Ministry of Education and Training also clearly stipulates a number of other cases eligible for direct admission.

Specifically, candidates who are Labor Heroes, People's Armed Forces Heroes, and national emulation fighters are admitted directly to the majors and programs prescribed by the training institution.

Candidates with high achievements in national or international exams, competitions, and tournaments organized and nominated by the Ministry of Education and Training, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, will be considered for direct admission in the year of graduating from high school (or intermediate) into majors suitable for the exam subjects, content of the topics or professions in which they participated, competed, and won prizes. Specifically in the following cases:

Firstly, candidates who won first, second, or third prizes in national or international excellent student competitions or national or international science and technology competitions organized and sent to participate by the Ministry of Education and Training; the time of winning the prize must not exceed 3 years from the time of direct admission.

Second, candidates who have won official prizes in international art competitions in singing, dancing, music, and fine arts recognized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; the time of winning the prize is not more than 4 years from the time of direct admission.

Third, candidates participating in national teams competing in official international tournaments confirmed by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to have completed their tasks, including: World Championships, World Cups, Olympic Games, Asian Games (ASIAD), Asian Championships, Asian Cups, Southeast Asian Championships, Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games), Southeast Asian Cups; the time of winning the prize is not more than 4 years from the time of direct admission.

Fourth, candidates who won first, second, and third prizes in ASEAN regional skills competitions and international skills competitions sent by the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs; the time of winning the prize must not exceed 5 years from the time of direct admission.
