Speaking to Tuoi Tre Online on the morning of October 1, a representative of Hung Vuong University in Ho Chi Minh City said that the transfer of 110 billion VND in capital contribution by Kinh Bac Urban Development Corporation does not mean that Mr. Dang Thanh Tam has withdrawn from the school.
This representative said that this capital contribution was transferred to another company within Mr. Dang Thanh Tam's business ecosystem. Therefore, this is only a transfer of legal entity, not Mr. Tam's withdrawal from Hung Vuong University, Ho Chi Minh City, to replace with a new investor.
Explaining further about this transfer, a representative of Hung Vuong University, Ho Chi Minh City, said that Kinh Bac Urban Development Corporation (KBC) is listed on the stock exchange, so information related to the company and Hung Vuong University, Ho Chi Minh City, also received many questions from related parties. This affected the stable operation of the school.
Therefore, the transfer of investment legal entity is to ensure stable school operation, without having to change to a new investor.
Currently, Mr. Dang Thanh Tam is still the Chairman of the school board, Mr. Tran Viet Anh, Permanent Vice Chairman and Vice Principal in charge.
As reported by Tuoi Tre Online , Kinh Bac Urban Development Corporation (KBC) has just announced unusual information that Hung Vuong University, Ho Chi Minh City (DHV) is no longer a subsidiary.
Specifically, the board of directors of this enterprise has approved the transfer of capital contribution at DHV. After withdrawing capital, KBC no longer has control over the school.
Previously in mid-May, Kinh Bac announced that it had become the parent company of Hung Vuong University, Ho Chi Minh City, after contributing an additional VND110 billion to own 51.79% of the charter capital.
Hung Vuong University Ho Chi Minh City was established in 1995 under the name Hung Vuong Private University Ho Chi Minh City. In 2008, it changed its name to Hung Vuong University Ho Chi Minh City, and in 2010, it was converted into a private university.
Mr. Dang Thanh Tam's Saigon Investment Group (SIG) invested in Hung Vuong University in Ho Chi Minh City in 2004 with 1.5 billion VND. In 2009, SIG continued to invest an additional 50 billion VND.
The conversion process from public to private of Hung Vuong University, Ho Chi Minh City, has resulted in fierce disputes between the founders and investors.
