The new school year brings opportunities and challenges to the 1,276 students of the whole school, especially to the 424 students who have just been admitted to grade 10 of the school. Nguyen Thanh Nhan - a grade 10 student majoring in Chemistry shared: "I am proud to be admitted to the school. The school focuses on training and improving the capacity and quality of the staff, focusing on pedagogical capacity and foreign language and IT skills to meet the requirements of the industry in each period. Each teacher strives to innovate in teaching to develop students' capacity. "In each lesson, students are proactive in activities to acquire knowledge, apply the knowledge and skills they have learned to solve problems that arise in life. Along with teaching, Thoai Ngoc Hau High School for the Gifted focuses on educating people through promoting cultural, artistic, physical education, sports , and recreational activities for students, creating a friendly and joyful environment in the school. In addition, the school also does a good job of encouraging learning with the policy of not letting any student drop out of school due to difficult family circumstances. Happy to receive a scholarship at the beginning of the new school year, Nguyen Ngoc Tram - a 12th grade Literature student shared: "I am grateful to the teachers and the teachers who gave me the scholarship. With the efforts of the staff, teachers, employees and students, last school year, the school achieved proud results such as: 30 students won national prizes, 100% of grade 12 students passed the high school and university graduation exams, over 60% of students were admitted directly to university, 1 student was admitted directly to Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine. The school has over 90% of students achieving the title of excellent students, good students; 100% of students were classified as having good conduct and many students won prizes at the provincial, regional and national levels.
