'Feeling very connected attending the opening ceremony with friends across the country'

On the morning of September 5, in Ho Chi Minh City, in the joyful atmosphere of the whole country welcoming the 2025-2026 school year and celebrating the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry of National Education (now the Ministry of Education and Training), Tran Phu High School (Phu Tho Hoa Ward) held an opening ceremony with the participation of city leaders, the education sector, all teachers and more than 2,000 students of the school.

Solemn and meaningful

The opening ceremony began with a welcome to the 10th graders, the new generation officially entering Tran Phu. The students in white ao dai and school uniforms stood up radiantly to the warm applause of teachers, friends and parents. This was a moment marking a new journey, and also a motivation for the students to strive in their first year of high school.

On this occasion, the school was honored to receive the Second Class Labor Medal. This is a noble award recognizing the persistent contributions of many generations of teachers and students.

In addition, the opening ceremony also became an opportunity for teachers and students of Tran Phu High School to demonstrate their sense of social responsibility. Responding to the call of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, the school launched a fundraising campaign to support people affected by storms No. 4 and No. 5. During the ceremony, the school announced that the donation of more than 40 million VND will be sent to the Vietnam Fatherland Front today, September 5.

"Moved and proud to be born, raised and educated in Vietnam"

In the solemn atmosphere of the ceremony, many students expressed their pride and emotion at being a small piece of Tran Phu High School.

Duong Thanh Ngan (class 10C7), valedictorian of Tran Phu High School, shared: "I feel very proud to be a student of Tran Phu High School on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry of Education and Training and National Day September 2. Through the ceremony, I learned more about the history of education and have more motivation to pursue my dream of becoming a math teacher in the future."

The female valedictorian also said the reason for choosing Tran Phu High School was because of the disciplined learning environment and clear orientation for students with high goals.

"I want to learn from my seniors to achieve success, and will also try my best to participate in competitions for excellent students and math Olympiads. In addition to studying, I also want to join the Cheer T-rex Club (cheering group) to practice soft skills and teamwork spirit," Ngan excitedly shared.

For senior students, the opening ceremony is even more meaningful. Huynh Ngoc Uyen Minh (class 12A12) emotionally said: "I feel very touched and proud to be born, raised and studying in Vietnam, especially today. In the opening ceremony, being able to attend with all my friends from across the country makes me feel very connected. We were able to attend the opening ceremony together and at the same time, which is very special compared to the opening ceremonies I have attended."
