In response to the report of Quang Tri newspaper on November 10, 2024 on the landslide situation of Vinh Dinh river bank through Trieu Hoa commune, Trieu Phong district, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has just coordinated to organize an inspection team, assess the situation and propose the Provincial People's Committee to assign the People's Committee of Trieu Phong district and related departments and branches to urgently deploy timely solutions.

According to the inspection results of the working group of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the People's Committee of Trieu Phong district and the People's Committee of Trieu Hoa commune, there are 3 sections of riverbank with dangerous landslides with a total length of about 1,000 m, of which 250 m of riverbank landslides threaten the safety of more than 15 households (including 2 households with landslides about 2-3 m from their houses), production land, inter-commune roads...

The delegation requested local authorities to place warning signs, set up temporary fences at the landslide site and prepare response plans in case of an incident.

From the actual situation, the implementation of solutions to overcome the landslide situation on Vinh Dinh riverbank through Trieu Hoa commune is extremely necessary and urgent.

Therefore, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has sent a document requesting the Provincial People's Committee to assign the Trieu Phong District People's Committee to continue directing the Trieu Hoa Commune People's Committee to urgently implement temporary reinforcement solutions to limit the landslide area from expanding, affecting the inter-commune traffic route.

Install more warning signs for dangerous landslide areas, traffic lights to guide vehicles, and reinforce solid barriers to ensure safety; at the same time, strengthen propaganda to encourage people to be proactive, ready to respond, evacuate, and deploy safety plans in case of emergency.
