Warning about fake Facebook page supporting Cuba program

The Vietnam Red Cross has just issued an urgent warning: a fake Facebook page has appeared, taking advantage of the program "65 years of Vietnam - Cuba friendship" to defraud and appropriate people's property.

The program to support the Cuban people is chaired by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross, in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Education and Training, the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry, the Vietnam - Cuba Friendship Association, Vietnam Television, the Voice of Vietnam , Vietnam News Agency, and Nhan Dan Newspaper, with the theme of 65 years of Vietnam - Cuba friendship . The program will be held from August 13, 2025 to October 16, 2025.

“As of 12 noon on August 16, the campaign to support the Cuban people had received nearly 250 billion VND . This is a testament to the deep spirit of solidarity and mutual love between the two peoples.”

Taking advantage of the kindness of the community, a Facebook page called: Triệu Bộc Chân Hữu Nghị has edited images and distorted information to call for donations through an unofficial link. This page even spread fake news about a walking and running race to mobilize donations. The Vietnam Red Cross Society affirmed: "not in any way coordinated with the organization of any similar events".

To avoid becoming a victim, people need to remember: - Do not transfer money, do not provide personal information to accounts, links, or phone numbers that are not officially announced. - Only trust the official channels of the Vietnam Red Cross:
