According to journalist Nguyen Thu Ha, Head of VTV's Science and Education Department, recently, a series of scams involving fake brand messages, impersonating police officers, creating "ghost" investment apps or using deepfake AI technology have caused thousands of victims across the country to lose hundreds of billions of dong.

“Vigilance 247” inherits the spirit of the radio program “Vigilance Stories” that is familiar to audiences, but is upgraded with a multi-platform, more direct and updated television version. The program plays the role of an “information shield”, promptly warning of new scams, in-depth analysis with cybersecurity and psychology experts, and at the same time equipping people with self-protection skills in a digital society.
The program will air at 8 p.m. every Saturday on VTV2, starting from October 4. Each episode of “Vigilance 247” is 20 minutes long and is produced in a modern investigative report format, recreating real cases, dissecting each trick, and analyzing the psychology of criminals and victims.
The goal of this program is not to leave the audience alone in the face of high-tech crime. Not to let warning information pass in vain, but to turn it into a "digital immune system" for the community. Not to let the law remain on paper, but to go straight into every home, every phone, every money transfer decision of each person.
Journalist Trinh Quoc Dong, Deputy Head of VTV's Science and Education Department, affirmed: "One wrong text message can cost you money, but one minute of vigilance can save you a fortune. "Vigilance 247" is not only a warning but also a social action, where television - banks - police coordinate to create a collective shield, protecting the peace of every Vietnamese family."
With the guidance of People's Artist Trong Trinh, "Vigilance 247" promises to become a practical security handbook, helping each citizen equip themselves with a "digital immune system", contributing to maintaining financial security and trust for the community.
In particular, the program uses vivid illustrations, making legal knowledge easy to understand and apply, especially for those who are often targeted by scammers such as the elderly, children... The program also has a hotline so that viewers can provide information, report incidents and interact on VTV's multiple digital platforms.
