Beware of scams when participating in VietNam Airlines Summer Camp

On July 8, Hanoi City Police informed that recently, on social networks, many fanpages " VietNam Airlines Summer Camp 2", "Aviation Career Summer Camp", "Aviation Career Summer Camp 2"... have appeared with interfaces, addresses, and phone numbers similar to those of Vietnam Airlines.

When parents want to contact their children to participate in the “Summer Camp”, the subjects will send the application criteria, candidate code and guide the parents to exchange via Zalo of the “Expert”. Although the consultation is free, including meals and accommodation, the participants must practice booking airline tickets online and get a refund. Initially, the domestic airfare is a few million VND, then the international airfare is a few tens of millions VND. As the amount of money for booking tickets increases, the subjects will appropriate this money.

Facing the trick of registering for fake aviation summer camps to defraud and appropriate property, the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention, Hanoi City Police, recommends that families be vigilant when looking for information about summer camp programs offered on social networking sites to avoid being scammed. When encountering cases with signs of fraud, people need to contact and report to the nearest police agency to be resolved according to the provisions of the law.
