According to the organizers, currently, the commune has nearly 100 businesses and over 1,000 households engaged in production and business, mainly in the production and trading of wooden products. The commune has a craft village industrial cluster with a total area of 10.7 hectares, creating favorable conditions for production space for 237 businesses and households engaged in the production and trading of wooden products.
In addition, the Commune People's Committee has proposed the District People's Committee to submit to the City for appraisal and approval to establish the Craft Village Industrial Cluster - Phase 2 with a total area of 17.22 hectares.
In 2003, Canh Nau craft village was granted a Certificate of recognition as a traditional carpentry craft village by the People's Committee of Ha Tay province. This is an important milestone marking the development of Canh Nau, contributing to the increasingly systematic planning of the craft village's production activities, building geographical indications and brands, and promoting the consumption of the craft village's products.
Speaking at the fair and exhibition, Mr. Do Ngoc Quang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Canh Nau Commune, Head of the Organizing Committee, said that with the attention and leadership of the City and the district, and the solidarity of the entire political system of Canh Nau Commune. In the 10 years since the District People's Committee organized the first craft village fair in Canh Nau Commune in 2013, the socio-economic development of the commune has had breakthroughs and strong changes. By the end of 2023, the economic structure of the commune will shift in a positive direction with the proportion of industry, handicrafts and trade and services accounting for over 96%.

Total production value reached 3,080 billion VND; average income per capita reached 108 million VND/person/year (9 times higher than in 2013); total budget revenue of the commune reached over 14 billion VND (3 times higher than in 2013); land management, construction order and environmental sanitation were strengthened; social culture, education and training were directed with attention and had many positive changes.
In 2013, the poverty rate in the commune was 7%, but now there are no more poor households in the commune. The number of students passing the university entrance exam in recent years has reached over 130 students. Political security, social order and safety, national defense and local military are ensured. In the commune, there are no hot spots or complicated incidents, mass complaints, petitions, or illegal overstepping of authority.
With careful preparation and organization in 10 days, the organizers hope that the Fair and Exhibition will be a great success, contributing to promoting the socio-economic development of the locality. At the same time, it will be a rich and interesting experience, leaving a deep and friendly impression of the culture and people of Canh Nau homeland in the hearts of people who come to visit, exchange and shop.
