In addition, he has promoted and encouraged people in the village to change their thinking and working methods. Thanks to that, many ethnic minority households have risen out of poverty and become economically prosperous.

The durian coffee garden of Mr. K'Nich (K'Ho ethnic group, Dur Kmal commune, Krong Ana district, Dak Lak ) has become a model for people to visit and learn from.

Mr. K'Nich shared that after nearly 5 years of participating in the coffee replanting model, with systematic and scientific cultivation, his family has a lush green garden. According to Mr. K'Nich, who is both the Party Cell Secretary and village chief, if he wants people to listen, believe and do, he must first lead by example.

Coffee gardens are cultivated systematically and scientifically to achieve productivity and quality.

K'Nich's family is in Lam Dong province. After getting married, he returned to his wife's hometown in Dak Lak to live. After a period of military training, K'Nich returned to Dur 1 village, Dur Kmal commune to develop the economy .

In 2021, he received support to build a coffee replanting model in the direction of intercropping durian. He was supported with 600 coffee trees and 45 durian seedlings according to Resolution 07 of the Krong Ana District Party Committee. Mr. K'Nich cut down the old coffee trees and planted the provided seedlings on 6 sao of agricultural land.

He went to Lam Dong to learn from experience and buy more seeds to graft to increase productivity. In his garden, he planted 4 types of coffee varieties for cross-pollination to achieve the highest quality yield. In addition to 6 sao of coffee replanted according to the model, he invested in gradually improving his family's land area to grow coffee mixed with pepper, durian, and avocado. His family's total land area is 4 hectares. Each year, he harvests over 6 tons of durian, over 7 tons of coffee, and about 3 tons of pepper.

Mr. K'Nich shares about the sustainable intercropping coffee model

The coffee replanting model group following Resolution 07 in Dur 1 village has 5 participating households with a total area of ​​3.5 hectares, mainly young people in the area. Mr. K'Nich is not only a pioneer in developing the model, but also enthusiastically guides the members of the group to renovate the intercropped coffee garden in a sustainable way. His family's model has become a model for people in and outside the commune to visit, learn and replicate.

Mr. K'Nich always plays a good role as a leader to propagate and mobilize the people. The villagers have changed their way of doing, thinking and acting. From being passive and not seeking to apply science and technology, they have proactively developed multi-trees and created jobs for themselves, and now initially brought in a stable income. Thanks to that, many ethnic minority households have not only risen out of poverty but also have a good economy. Currently, the rate of poor and near-poor households in the village has decreased significantly. He also actively participates in new rural construction movements.

Mr. K'Nich's coffee garden has become a model for people to visit and learn from.

In recent times, the district has built 8 cooperative models with 80 members. A typical example is the Tuor B Construction Cooperative Group, Dray Sap Commune, which is creating jobs and stable income for dozens of workers. Tuor B Construction Cooperative Group, with 12 members. In nearly 4 years of operation, the Group has contracted many projects from fences, livestock houses to houses, with an average income from construction of each member from 5 to 7 million VND per month, and the Construction Group Leader alone earns about 12 million VND per month.

Mr. Y Kun Kbuôr, Head of the Tuôr B Village Construction Cooperative, said that in addition to the official members, the group also has 20 assistant workers. The work is steady, the income is steady, the assistant workers earn 250,000 VND/day, the main workers earn 350,000 VND/day, so the lives of the families of the group members and assistant workers are getting better and better. The group not only builds in the locality but is also trusted by people in neighboring communes to sign construction contracts.
