According to the Thang Long Project Management Board, the project has completed 80% of bored piles, is implementing bridge abutments, casting beams and is expected to construct the remaining part after the province hands over the site in October.
The Ba Bau intersection overpass, which crosses National Highway 1 with the Phan Thiet - Dau Giay Expressway, plays an important role in removing traffic "bottlenecks", facilitating tourists from the expressway to the tourist destinations of Tien Thanh, Phan Thiet, Mui Ne and vice versa. At the construction site (Ham Kiem commune, Lam Dong province), 4 overpass piers on both sides have been erected, and the construction unit has arranged signs and barriers to ensure safety in the area.

At the meeting to review the progress of key transport projects, Minister of Construction Tran Hong Minh requested that the Ba Bau overpass project must be completed before January 31, 2026 to enhance connectivity, ensure disbursement progress and help the locality effectively exploit the advantages of the Phan Thiet - Dau Giay expressway. The Thang Long Project Management Board has directed the contractor to make a plan, mobilize human resources and construction equipment day and night to complete the project on time as directed.

Ba Bau overpass is built at Km1717+513 National Highway 1, intersecting with the Phan Thiet - Dau Giay Expressway and Ham Kiem - Tien Thanh Road. The project is constructed by Construction Joint Stock Company 368, with a scale of 4 lanes, including a roundabout under the bridge, expansion of the existing Suoi Sop Bridge, addition of service roads and drainage system. In addition, at the intersection to Phan Thiet ward, a 1.2km long right turn from the expressway will be implemented, expected to be constructed in 8 months.
