Hanoi recruits more than 800 teachers, fierce competition

TPO - The leader of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training said that this year, the locality is recruiting more than 800 teachers and up to this point, there are about 7,300 applications. Thus, with the number of candidates applying much larger than the quota, the competition is expected to be very fierce.

Mr. Tran The Cuong, Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, said that the source of teachers for the new school year is very abundant. Hanoi is recruiting more than 800 teachers, but the number of candidates applying for the job is up to 7,300.

According to the plan, after the deadline for receiving applications, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training will organize the entrance exam on October 12 and announce the admission results 10 days later.

At the beginning of the 2025-2026 school year, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training announced the recruitment of 942 civil servants to work at public educational institutions, of which 848 are teachers and 94 are staff.

This school year, Hanoi recruits 848 teachers for all levels, mainly high school.

Of the more than 800 teachers, high school level recruits more than 800; middle school level recruits 11; 5 for Nguyen Dinh Chieu Secondary School; 6 for Xa Dan Secondary School and 9 for primary schools.

Candidates will have to go through 2 rounds including round 1 to check the admission conditions and round 2 to take a written test on professional and specialized subjects.

The recruitment conditions are that the person has Vietnamese nationality and resides in Vietnam; is 18 years of age or older; has an application form; has a clear background; has sufficient diplomas and certificates as required for the job position; the rank and professional title of the civil servant to be recruited; is healthy enough to perform the duties; meets other conditions as required for the job position as determined by the public service unit but must not be contrary to the provisions of law.

In addition, candidates must meet specific standards and conditions on professional qualifications and skills for civil servants according to job positions and specialized job titles.
