The heat of the capital derby quickly increased when Hanoi FC took the initiative to attack right from the first minutes of the match. However, the home team's style of play only lasted a few minutes before being equalized by The Cong - Viettel (TCVT).

Compared to the 0-1 loss to TCVT in the National Cup a few days ago, Hanoi FC showed an amazing change in their attacking situations. In the first 30 minutes of the match, the home team continuously created dangerous threats to the away team's goal.

In the 36th minute, captain Van Quyet had a precise pass, eliminating the entire The Cong Viettel defense so that Tuan Hai could rush down and finish past goalkeeper Van Viet, opening the score for Hanoi FC. Conceding the goal, TCVT was forced to push up to find an equalizer. However, in the remaining minutes of the match, the away team failed to achieve their goal.

Entering the second half, after changes in personnel and tactics, TCVT created great pressure on goalkeeper Van Hoang's goal. The away team only took nearly 10 minutes to equalize. In the 54th minute, from TCVT's triangle combination, Lucao passed the ball to new player Xuan Tien to pass to Khuat Van Khang to enter the penalty area and then beat goalkeeper Van Hoang in a face-to-face situation, equalizing 1-1.

After TCVT's equalizer, the match's tempo was raised with both teams exchanging blows but no more goals were scored. The 90 minutes of play ended in a 1-1 draw, with the two teams sharing points in the 4th round.

In the matches of the same day, PVF CAND drew 2-2 withSHB Da Nang, Thanh Hoa drew 2-2 with Hai Phong.
