- The musical film “Letter to the Future” left a lasting impression on the public, especially the appearance of Le Minh Ngoc as the main singer and in two roles. Can Minh Ngoc share about her chance to join this film?

- Since the beginning of 2025, I have been planning to carry out a meaningful project to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day, but I have not found a convincing idea yet. When I received the invitation from the Arts Department (Vietnam Television), I immediately agreed, put aside many tasks to fully participate.

Taking on both the lead vocal and two acting roles in the context of a tight filming schedule, which coincided with many major art programs, I faced a lot of pressure. However, I felt honored to be part of a meaningful work and happy that the film and my chamber singing were well received by the audience. That helped me to be more confident with my new artistic choices and direction.

- In the film, the audience sees Le Minh Ngoc completely transform, from familiar folk music to chamber music, bringing a fresh breeze to songs that have stood the test of time!

- Actually, this change was made before. Right after winning Sao Mai 2022, I decided to pursue chamber music, which is my greatest passion. When I sing chamber music, I feel like I'm back to myself.

In 2023, I participated in the National Chamber, Opera and Choir Singing Competition and won first prize. That achievement gave me more confidence to persevere on the path I had chosen. As an artist - soldier, I have many opportunities to learn and explore, and come into contact with chamber music when I regularly participate in art programs with historical and revolutionary themes... I am increasingly fascinated by the heroic, grandiose, and historical significance of songs with chamber music melodies.

- Can Le Minh Ngoc share more about her feelings when transforming into the character in the movie, being both the main singer and playing two roles?

- It was really a big pressure. I had to take on both the music and the acting role in the context of a very tight filming schedule. But the pressure turned into motivation, especially when the film story was closely linked to the father-son relationship and family love during the war. I was born into a military family, so the image of my father and grandfather being soldiers was ingrained in me since childhood. When I transformed, I felt like I was reliving the memories of my own family. Thanks to that, I was able to act naturally and sing with the most sincere emotions.

- Along with making the musical film, Le Minh Ngoc also participated in the parade and performed in the art program at the Anniversary, parade, and A80 parade. How did Le Minh Ngoc feel?

- I am truly moved. As a young artist born in 2000, currently working at the Army Music and Dance Theatre, to be able to perform in the middle of Ba Dinh Square on that important holiday, I find it an incomparable honor. This opportunity both makes me proud and urges me to try harder. I consider it the responsibility of an artist - soldier, to train and contribute more to be worthy of the green army uniform.

- What are Le Minh Ngoc's upcoming musical plans?

- I am carrying out a long-cherished project of singing famous, classic songs about Hanoi, on the occasion of the 71st anniversary of the Capital Liberation Day (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2025). The songs will be released regularly every week on my personal YouTube channel in the coming time.

I chose to sing about Hanoi to pay tribute to the land that has nurtured my career and life. Chamber songs about Hanoi always have a special beauty, from the image of heroic, gallant people in battle to the elegance and lyricism of the capital today. I want to add another word of “love” to Hanoi through music, to spread the love for Hanoi more widely and persistently.

- When singing classic songs about Hanoi that have been performed by many famous singers, does Le Minh Ngoc feel pressured?

- There is definitely pressure. But I think if the younger generation does not continue to sing, those values may gradually fade away. My peers and I need to continue, renew, so that those songs can continue to live with the public. For me, that is both a challenge and a motivation to try.

- Can 2025 be considered the starting point of Le Minh Ngoc's chamber music journey?

- I think so. The year 2025 marks a new and inspiring beginning, with “Letter to the Future” as the opening greeting and a series of songs about Hanoi as a clearer affirmation. I hope this path will be long-lasting and sustainable, contributing to bringing chamber music closer to the audience, especially the youth. For me, chamber music is not only a passion but also a responsibility to preserve and spread the value of Vietnamese vocal music, both domestically and internationally.

- Sincerely thank you Le Minh Ngoc!
